Gratitude – What you should be grateful for

What are you grateful for today?

To be thankful is much more than a kind „Thank you“ if someone keeps the door open for you or if someone borrows you a pen.

To be grateful means to be thankful for every little thing in your life. To appreciate every little thing.

I’m so thankful that I know THIS!

Earlier in my life I was that kind of person that always thought the whole world is against me, everything’s not fair and everything’s sad. But today I know that this is bullshit!

No matter in what situation you find yourself in life: There are always things to be grateful for! Every time.

If I had a day that wasn’t really good or happy, I’m still grateful. No I’m not thankful because the day was „really great“ if it wasn’t really great. But I’m grateful for all the little things. For my good health or the fact that I can go outside and enjoy nature anytime or because I can listen to music or for the fact that I know that better times are coming and that my situation isn’t really that bad. I always know it could be worse.

It’s simply much nicer to be grateful than to get mad for no real reason.

But why this big gratitude?

Because if you’re thankful, your focus is on the good. You’re always SEARCHING for the good and positive.

Today we unfortunately focus on the bad the most time. And this attitude is more toxic than we think.

That’s why it’s even more important to focus on the bright side of life. On the good and the positive.

Write it down the holy three

When I started to „learn“ gratitude I wrote it down each day. At least three things I’m grateful for this day.

Sometimes this exercise was very easy and I wrote down more than three things – and sometimes it was more difficult and I needed a longer time to FIND the three nice things. But I always found them! Because there are always positive aspects in each day.

The best thing with this exercise is that you have to THINK ABOUT THE POSITIVE. You sit down and only think of what was good, because this is the only interesting thing in that moment.

Usually on a „not-really-great“-day we think of the things that went wrong. And mostly we’re sad while thinking of it.

If I didn’t had a good day, I ask myself these questions (and also if my day was great):Sam Cadosch - Gratitude, thankful, grateful, life is great, great - pin

  • What was the BEST thing today?
  • What am I thankful for today?
  • Who did I meet today that I like?
  • What did I do today that was good?

These questions bring positive vibes to your brain!

In the beginning this whole thing felt a bit strange. Cause it’s not „normal“ to do that. But it’s really important for a healthy mind! So when I understood this, I made it a habit. One of the healthiest habits I have!

And now I hope you can fill your brain with positive and grateful vibes too!

Enjoy it and THANK YOU for reading this! 🙂
