Believe in yourself and many closed doors open
Believe in yourself and no one can stop you. Because the belief in yourself opens so many more “closed” doors than you think.
YOU are the most important one in your life
Nowadays we often forget, that we are the most important ones in our life. Because we were taught that we should “fit in” the society and we should be like all the others to be accepted. And we all have to prove our can all the time just to show who we are.
We choose things and people that become the most important ones in our life. We become addicted to them. But what do we do if those things or people aren’t here anymore?
I don’t tell you that there shouldn’t be people who are important to you. I mean there’s nothing more beautiful than love. To love and to be loved. And loved ones are important to us.
What I want to express with this blogpost is, that we should learn to believe again. Believe in yourself, love yourself and be important to yourself.
Deal with yourself
Is it easy for you to be alone? To deal with yourself and do something in peace without company? Or do you always need work that you can do or people who are with you?
The reason why so many people get a burnout is NOT that the job is too hard or the company is too bad. It’s just because people forget to rest. They can’t have a break just to bring their mind in peace again. They always have to be under current. And that’s really unhealthy….
Often they think of resting only when it’s too late. When their body and mind HAVE TO REST.
I don’t know why this is so “normal” nowadays – but I think we should take more time for ourself and learn to believe in ourselves again.
Believe in yourself and you’ll take a break – because you can
People need confirmation from outside. From other people. People that apparently believe in you and encourage you.
That’s what keeps them alive. But actually it should be totally different.
The confirmation from outside should be a nice side effect. And not the drive. The strength should come from the inside. Who believes in himself and motivates himself can live his life fully and in peace because he’s able to take breaks when he needs it.
People who always need the confirmation of others can’t take breaks – because if they do, they don’t get acclaims and compliments from outside anymore. I mean for what should they get compliments if they don’t do anything at the moment? Can you see the danger?
But if you treat yourself and make yourself proud and happy then you’re able to take a break whenever you need it. Because if you do there’s no confirmation from outside needed. Because you know who you are, what you can and that you’re doing great!
Less confirmation from outside
The more you live the life you want to live and stop “fitting in” the less confirmation you’ll get from outside.
And that’s the main reason why people give up and go back to where they were. They rather do what’s “normal” and still get confirmation and compliments for their work instead of doing what makes them happy without the confirmation of others.
This only happens because the opinions of others are too important to most of us. We believe more in what others say about us and our can than in what WE believe and think about ourselves.
My biggest hurdle was exactly the same. I repressed myself for a really long time because I knew that the people out there won’t support my goals and plans. I knew they would tell me that it’s the wrong way for me. And I was afraid I would believe them if I listened for too long.
When I finally started going my own way it was exactly as I expected it. Everyone knew better what’s right for me and that this way won’t work. I think I wouldn’t have stood against that if I hadn’t strengthened the belief in myself that hard.
If you believe in yourself it doesn’t matter what others say
At the age of 17 I tattooed the sentence “Never forget yourself” under my collarbone.
Back then I was about to start my new life in a few months. I was not really ready. But I knew I’ll be soon. I started to strengthen the belief in myself and in all of my little steps I’ll ever take to live the life that I really wanted to live.
I have read many books, have been inspired by people who have already reached the goal I wanted to reach as well and I started to erase all the negativity out of my life.
The most important thing for me was: Not to make the same mistake that so many people make… Not living the life of my dreams just because it’s not “normal”. I didn’t want to forget myself for 60 years and then realize that my life COULD HAVE been totally different if I had the courage to do something.
And that’s how I came here. The first building block is always YOU.
Here’s another topic that’s really important: Positive thinking – THESE are the impacts. Enjoy! 🙂
Do you REALLY believe in yourself and your dreams/goals?
